FAQ
COLLAGEN
What is collagen?
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and plays a key role in the structure of skin, hair, nails, and joints. From our mid-twenties, natural collagen production gradually decreases over time. Incorporating Innour’s oral marine collagen into your daily routine provides a high-quality source of amino acids to support your body’s natural collagen supply and maintain the appearance of healthy hair, skin, and nails.
What is marine collagen made from?
Marine collagen is a collagen peptide supplement derived from fish skin. It provides a high-quality source of amino acids to support your body’s natural collagen supply. Regular use may help maintain the appearance of healthy hair, nails, skin, and overall wellbeing.
Where is our marine collagen sourced from?
All life is important to us, which is why we source our collagen from responsibly farmed fish, ensuring that natural ecosystems are protected throughout production. The quality of our collagen comes down to two key factors: preparation and serving size. Our marine collagen is hydrolysed, meaning it is broken down into smaller peptides to support easier incorporation by the body. Each serving is carefully measured to provide a consistent, high-quality experience.
Can I consume marine collagen while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We cannot provide specific advice on this. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any changes to your diet, routine, or supplement use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Has Innour been tested for quality & safety?
Our formulations are rigorously tested for quality and safety. Every batch undergoes independent testing in a NATA-certified laboratory to ensure the formula is consistent, the nutritional profile is accurate, and no toxins or heavy metals are present. Innour products meet all relevant Australian and international quality and safety standards.

PRODUCT
How does Innour differ from other collagen products on the market?
Innour differs in two key ways:
1. Doctor-developed formulation - Our products are developed by our founder and resident doctor, Leanne, who brings her expertise in health and the human body to the formulation process. This ensures a premium product with a carefully considered serving size.
2. Science-informed, quality-focused approach - Innour’s Marine Collagen undergoes thorough testing to ensure high-quality standards. The collagen is hydrolysed and has a low molecular weight (2,000 Dalton), which supports its effective incorporation into the body.
Can I mix my collagen into my tea or coffee?
Natural Marine Collagen is heat stable, so it can be added to both hot and cold beverages without affecting its quality or amino acid content.
Do you provide the full ingredient list for your products?
Yes, we do. This information is available to view on all product pages.
Do you provide the full nutritional information for your products?
Yes, we do. This information is available to view on all product pages.
Can I have an allergic reaction?
Our Marine Collagen is derived from fish and is not suitable for those with fish allergies.
How many servings should I consume daily?
For optimal use, we recommend taking 10 grams of our natural marine collagen per day. This can be achieved with one sachet or scoop twice a day, or two sachets or scoops once a day. If you are new to collagen, you may start with a single serving (5 g) per day and gradually increase to two servings (10 g) per day as part of your daily routine.
Are there any side effects of taking marine collagen?
Possible side effects tend to be mild but may include:
• Possible gastrointestinal discomfort such as bloating, feeling of fullness or heartburn may occur. These usually settle as your body adjusts. A gradual introduction to using collagen is best.
• Lingering aftertaste.
• Do not consume if allergic to fish. You may experience an allergic reaction.
• Do not exceed recommended dosages.
What is the shelf life of Innour collagen?
The shelf life of Innour collagen ranges from 2-3 years. For peace of mind, be sure to check the best before date before consuming. It can be found on the bottom of the product, along with the batch number and production date. We recommend storing all Innour products in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. There is no need to refrigerate as our collagen is shelf-stable.
Do you offer samples of your products before purchase?
At this stage, Innour does not offer sample packs of our products.
We recommend starting with our Natural Marine Collagen - Natural, as this formula is flavourless and can be combined with any food or drink without detection.
